What should I donate?
Non-perishable food is always needed, along with toiletries, personal care items, diapers, and wipes—these go quickly!
What if someone takes all the food from a box?
That means they truly needed it. This is a judgment-free project—nothing in the box can be “stolen,” because everything is freely given.
Who benefits from the Mini Food Pantry?
Anyone facing hardship may use a pantry. Seniors on fixed incomes, working families with unexpected expenses, college students, people experiencing homelessness, and many others. Because items are taken anonymously, we may be helping one person or one hundred.
Can I build a Mini Food Pantry for my neighborhood, church, or business?
Yes! We’ll provide you with a decal, add your location to our map, and help you promote it. We’ll also share the plans we use.
Tips for building: Use treated wood if possible, place the box where cars can safely pull off, choose a shaded spot, and be sure to get permission from the landowner, landlord, or HOA if needed.
